Davie Kaplan Update and Guidelines Regarding COVID-19

March 17, 2020

Dear Clients and Friends:

Based on the continued development of COVID-19 Davie Kaplan is updating our guidelines to protect the health and safety of our employees and clients.  As of today, much of our workforce is working remotely to promote social distancing.  Our office reception will be operating from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.  However, we will refrain from on-site client meetings for the immediate future, as well as temporarily discontinue our staff working at clients’ offices.  We continue to be available by phone, email and conferencing!  Your Davie Kaplan team will reach out to you on any upcoming scheduled meetings or fieldwork to make alternate plans.  We do not anticipate these changes to impact our ability to serve our clients’ needs and we will maintain communication with you as we receive additional guidance from state and local public health agencies.  We are very proud of our Davie Kaplan family and their dedication to serving our clients during this turbulent time!

We encourage you to utilize our various methods to provide us with your tax data this year, including mailing in your tax data, e-organizer, utilizing secure email or our secure client portal.   If you do not currently use an e-organizer, or have a client portal and would like to establish one, please call Todd McMahan at 585-341-4193 or email at tmcmahan@daviekaplan.com for further instructions.  In addition, please speak to your Partner or Manager to arrange for other delivery methods.

We are awaiting more definitive plans for the extension of the April 15th deadline to share its effect on you as soon as possible.  However, please continue to send in your 2019 tax data, if possible, to allow us to serve you during this crisis.

Please stay healthy and thank you for your continued trust and confidence.
