IRS Notices and Extended Due Dates Update

It has come to our attention that the IRS is sending out notices to taxpayers that have filed their 2019 income tax returns, where payment has not yet been made in accordance with the postponed due date and payment date of 7/15. The notice indicates that there is a balance due before the 7/15 due date.

According to the IRS website, these notices are automatically generated and IRS systems were not reprogrammed to account for the postponed due date.  However, there should also be an enclosure (with the notice) that the actual due date of the payment is 7/15.  If you receive a notice and there is not an additional enclosure in regards to the postponed due date of 7/15, please forward to our offices for review.
