Davie Kaplan CPAs Announces New Executive Leadership Team

Jennifer Jones promoted to CEO & Scott Kogler Promoted to President

Rochester, NY, August 26, 2019– Davie Kaplan CPAs, a leading firm of Certified Public Accountants and business advisors based out of Rochester, New York is making big leadership changes with the future of the company in mind. Implementing a plan coordinated over the past 12 months, the role of Managing Partner, traditionally the responsibility of one individual, has been divided into two positions. With this change, Jennifer Jones has been promoted from Partner to the company’s first female CEO. Scott Kogler joins her, with his promotion from Partner to President. Former Managing Partner, Patrick George, will continue to play an integral part of its growth as he takes on other responsibilities within the firm and spends more time with clients.

The pair will be co-managing partners, working together to better serve the firm’s clients, as well as their employees.

Jones states, “We’re proud of our close client relationships, and pride ourselves in being able to provide a higher level of service because of these relationships. By sharing this role we feel that we’ll be able to continue to serve our clients at the highest level as we guide the company in it is future. It’s very humbling that my partner group asked me to take on this position. Scott and I both look forward to bringing a fresh perspective to our roles.”

Kogler adds, “I’m honored for the opportunity and very excited to guide the firm into this next generation with Jennifer.”

Currently, the firm employs over 70 employees. Jones and Kogler will continue to grow the firm, while developing the next generation of leaders. Both bring years of experience with them into their respective roles. Jones joined the firm in 1994, becoming a Partner in 2010, and served as the head of the Accounting and Audit Department. Kogler has been with the firm since 1993 and has been a Partner since 2002.

Both attribute their longevity at the firm to the investment in its employees and the personal growth this fosters, as well as the high level of client interaction and relationship building they’ve been able to accomplish.

Kogler says, “We have a well-rounded team that allows us to service our clients from start to finish and pull in experts in specific areas when needed. Our people are a big focus. Both Jennifer and I are passionate about empowering our team to make decisions. With this new leadership structure we’re positioning our company to grow both internally and externally.  It’s been an exciting past ten years for changes and the next ten years are going to be even more exciting.”
